2023-2024 Priority Deadline: July 1, 2023

Deadline established in order to complete the hiring process including fingerprints, background check and new hire paperwork prior to training the beginning of August.
Ongoing hiring: July 2023 to March 2024 as positions are available

Denver Fellow Next Steps

2023-2024 School Year

  1. Complete the interest survey

  2. Complete the DPS Application

  3. Sign up and complete the initial phone screen

  4. Complete a brief math assessment to confirm grade-level content ability

  5. Interview with Denver Math Fellow Coordinator at a specific school site

  6. Complete the onboarding process for Denver Public Schools (including references, background check and additional new hire paperwork)

All steps must completed by July 31, 2023 to ensure attendance at Fellow Summer Institute.

FAQs

1. Can I apply if I don’t currently live in Denver?
Answer:
Yes, non-local applicants will be invited to participate in a video interview with members of the Denver Math Fellows Team. Moving to Colorado by July 15 will be important in order to complete fingerprinting and other new hire paperwork.

2. Do I need a degree to apply?
Answer
: No. You will need successful completion of 48 college credits.

3. What’s the difference between the Denver Fellow position and the Denver Fellow Residency?
Answer:
The Denver Fellow position is a one year commitment to serve in a school. The Denver Fellow Residency is a longer commitment, partnered with Relay Graduate School of Education and involves being a graduate student during your service. Click here to find out more about the Denver Fellow Residency.
