The CU Boulder MA+ Mathematics or Science Teacher Licensure programs offer you immersive, one-year paths to earning your master’s degree and teacher licensure. With a summer start and finish, you’ll learn as part of a close knit cohort of peers and participate in practica that provide authentic experiences in middle and high school classrooms. Teach For America (TFA) is a leadership development and teacher pathway program that recruits remarkable and diverse individuals to teach for at least two years in one of more than 40 low-income communities across the country (including Denver!). TFA corps members teach everything from Pre-K-12th grade, including all core subject areas, bilingual and ESL, and Special Education. Corps members earn full salaries, state teaching certification, AmeriCorps benefits, and have the option to simultaneously pursue a Master’s degree. After two years in the classroom, TFA alumni continue their leadership as classroom teachers, administrators, policy makers, non-profit leaders, and more. Nearly 30% of the 2021 TFA corps joined as professionals with post-college work experience, and thousands of applicants were AmeriCorps alum. Visit www.teachforamerica.org for more info.
